Here are the results of the abdominoplasty with circumferential liposuction for my 42-year-old patient, who is now 5 months post-surgery. We addressed her trunk lipodystrophy and rectus diastasis through liposuction of the posterior trunk, flanks, and abdomen, and performed an abdominoplasty with rectus plication and umbilical transposition. With 1000 mL of liposuction aspirate and 810 grams of abdominal tissue removed, the outcome has been very satisfying. The patient is thrilled with her results and has had a smooth recovery.
